im looking at a 92 jetta carat ,2.0 8v manual trans, 155,xxx mi, power windows and locks a/c works, sheet metal is straight, car runs great but the rear brakes are fucked

it needs everything from the spindle out on the left side and it needs a tail light
i figured the my price on all the parts is ~$150 (i work at a VW dealer)
it needs spindle, bearings, shoes, drum, and a wheel cylinder for the brakes
and just a lense for the light

it should be about a 2 hour job for the brakes

what do you guys think i should offer?
i was thinking around $300

can anyone say VR6?

i was hoping not to get laughed at when i offer $300

90 and newer MK2's in good cond can be up to $1500
it has CE2 electronics which you need for teh VR6 swap

i am the proud owner of teh Jetta :D
and i got it for FREE!!!!
the chik said she was gonna donate the car so she didint want any money

hope fully by next summer it will have a VR in the engine bay

i dont have a digi cam so i will post pics when i can

Sweet man that will be a dope project car! The VR6 will be a good swap into that car. There is a guy around here who has a an MK2 with corrado motor with a huge blower on it that sounds like a fire engine. The thing is nuts, plus it makes a tad over 300hp.

its odd that swapping in a V6 into a mk2 is easier than a b-series into an ef
wiring is plug and play and you use oem mounts
