Hi there, I just recently swapped a jdm h22a into my 92 prelude si, I've wired for vtec (solenoid to a4, and pressure switch to d6 - with the black wire grounded out on the block) also I'm using the distributor with external coil from the h23a...
the car/new engine runs great on the OLD p14 ecu of course without vtec enabled but throws an engine light when above 40mph HOWEVER when i try to swap in the p13 the car runs rough at anything above idle, and throws an engine light immediatley... i've also tried *3* p13 ecu's so i'm pretty sure it's not the ecu.

the majority of posts i've read about the h23a to h22a swap pretty make this last part about ecu's straight forward saying "just swap them" so i'm kind of confused why i've got problems now.. if anyone has any ideas i'd love to hear em.

thanks.

I'd first double-check that you wired everything correctly, and that there are no unplugged sensors.

Did you wire the IAB and the knock sensor?

Last, check and see what code the P13 is throwing.
