93 prelude

my 93 prelude si keeps thrown engine codesand is runnin like shit. i was told that i need 2 replace the egr valve but that shits expensive as hell 2 replace if thats not the problem. can someone tell me what plug and what wires i need 2 jump in a 1993 prelude si 2 see what codes are being thrown. thanx in advance.
