Hi everyone

Im new to this site, i have a 95 accord F22 NON VTEC that i bought to my cousin a yr ago for $900.00 cuz the transmission was bout to break and the engine was a mess. Lil by lil ive been trying to get the accord to work as it is supposed to again. Ive waisted bout 2k in the engine and its kinda fine now but i have no tranny.

Last week there was a crash near my house were a 94 Prelude got hit in the drivers side and it was totaled, the car was just parked there and i went to the owner to see if he was gona sell it. He told me he was gona give the car in 2.2k, it has an H22 with standard Tranny and the engine has a few upgraded things. the tranny was rebuilt less than a yr ago and the engine was cheked for anything wrong a week before the crash(he showed me the papers). i personally checked the engine and it seems fine .. no leaks or wierd sounds :) the tranny works fine since i told him to move it a lil to c if it worked. There was no damage near the engine, im thinking bout a swap, since i was already gona buy a std tranny and i really like the engine. I can not only get the engine and tranny but i can also get the 15" prelude rims and few more things.

I was told the engine fits my car perfectly. Is it true?? and do you guys think i should buy the car?? i can sell a lot of things cuz only driver side was hit but should i do it????

Please help me in this one

How much is he asking? If he is asking 2k or under and there isn't anything wrong with the engine I would go for it. A h22 swap with 5 speed tranmission is like 2k on ebay and that don't include shipping. I am not sure how the wiring and stuff match up for the auto to manual swap but i was thinking about doing the same thing to my accord. If you decide to get the prelude and do the swap definately hit me up and let me know how it goes. I want to do the same to my accord.

Oh and by the way, the h22 that is in the prelude is a direct swap, it may require a few brackets you can get from ebay beings your changing from auto to manual but other than that it matches up fine.

I am gona apply for a 3k loan to buy the prelude, since it is 2k but i wuna have another 1k just in case. Ill be having the prelude by mid or end of august and i will definately tell how it goes in this forums. Thank you for ur opinion :)

I am sure ima like the swap since ima see a big difference between a automatic f22 non Vtec(135hp) to a std h22(200hp).
