95 dx to 97 dx

Im changing my 95dx engine over to a 97dx engine I have bought the 97dx ecu and all i need to know is do i need a wiring harness too or do i need a conversion harness im new to the honda scene and any advise would help. what else do i need to make a legal and factory looking swap thanks tooljeff@hotmail.com

How do i convert from obd1 to obd2 and how much$?

just buy aobd1 to obd2 harness there like 100 bucks on ebay

o.k now wil all the plugs hook up on the engine

o.k so the obd1 to obd2 conversion clip just allows my mchanic to "check the codes" or is this necessary to do this to make it run. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP THIS SITE IS GREAT.

yes you got to do it to make it run the ecu is diffrent so it mates them together making your obd1 car run a obd2 motor and ecu

Alright if i have the harness for the 97 then will i still need the jumper

if you have the d16y7 harness then yes you will still need the harness

lol use the 97 motor wireing harness buy a obd1 to obd2 jumper harness then plug it all up

you dont even have to buy the motor wiring harness because i got a 94 hatch and did the same thing and everything clipped right in no problems
