Ok I have a 96 civic with 140K miles.
It worked perfectly before, I went to college and it sat for a week, came back today and it won't start.
It cranks and cranks and sometimes seems like its just about to turnover but never does.
I replaced the battery about a month ago so I don't think it's that BUT I left a charger in the lighter socket. The charger was off but do you think it still drained power? I don't want to go out and get a batt yet because I don't believe that its the problem. The reason i replaced it in the first place was because I had battery problems. The car would click a couple of times and finally start after a couple of key turns.
This problem now sounds much different. It cranks immediately but never turns over.
I searched and found a thread from 2004 on this site about this same problem but no one was sure about one cause.
Can anyone help??
Thanks
