i bought a obx cat back exhaust that is supposed to fit my car but as i suspected it doesn't because of the header and vertically mounted cat so what can i do to get the system to work.
need help :(
 
bring it all down to a muffler shop and have them tweek it till it works
or if you or a friend is any good at welding you can do it that way
basicly its gunna be a custom job
 
Try to find an ex header and everything will bolt up. At least one of your O2 will need to be rewired to the back of the motor. Do this and you will see and feel power improvements cause your current header is way too restrictive. :D
 
One more thing, if this exhaust system is built for an EX (some people don't know that 96 up non-vtec's are different), then you would need an converter from an EX. You might want to do the cut and weild job if money becomes and issue. For performance do the change. I have a EX header with my exhaust system built for an LX, it bolted up(minus the cat). Now i'm running straight (cat less). :D
