having fuel issues , First off dont have resister box hooked up and the car is sucking alot of fuel and smell fuel once -n- while ,Secondly battery dies after long period of time,think there is a short somewhere dont know ,can someone help me out with these issues

as far as the draw, i usually get a multimeter and set it to amps and put it in series with the negative cable, check how much is being drawn and start disconnecting stuff or wiggle some wires where u think there might be an issue and see if it drops.
