I Have A 97 Tiptronic Auto Prelude That Is Having Some Problems With Gear Shifts When The Gear Light On My Dash Starts To Flash.
I Was Told By A Transmission Place That It Was Most Likely To Be The Throttle Position Sensor. At The Moment I Am Combatting This By Pulling The Fuse For The Stereo As This Resets The Fault Code.
Has This Happened To Any One Else?
 
You should run the codes and find out what really is the problem with your SS tranny, instead of letting the shop assume.

Most likely, the TPS needs to be replaced, as sooner or later they do tend to go.
