98 si non v-tec harness change?

I'm building a d16zc and i am putting a y8 head on it. im new to this and i'd like to know if i have to change the harness and ecu in my 98 si non vtec or if it will just plug in because i have the harness and ecu for the y8 just i don't want to change it if i don't have to. it originally was supposed to go in my 96 lx but i wrecked it and i didn't know if where an si is normally v-tec it would work or not because i dont know if the motor in it at the moment is original or not. Any tips or answers would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, I figured because we actually had no Si in 98 here in the US, and all of our Si's from 92-95 and 99-present have VTEC.

But to answer your question, you can swap out the whole harness if you want, but you don't need to. You can just add the needed wiring in to the existing harness. Do a search for it and you'll find some write-ups...
