99-00 Civic Si harness question

Buddy of mine has a 99-00 civic si (obd2b).

Bought a 96-99 GSR (OBD2A) and is tring to use a 96-98 ex harness.

**Question should a 96-98 honda civic ex engine harness be compatible to a 99-00 civic chassis

No reason at all to use a 96-98 harness, They are exactly the same. Put the engine in and use an ecu adapter harness to run a p72 gsr ecu or go obd1(best bet) and run a chipped ecu.

use your 99-00 harness. it will all work.

yea 99-00 si harness is exactly the same, if your motor is jdm then it might not have a vtec pressure switch, might have 2 plugs at most hanging off.
