OK I have a 1991 accord LX bad engine The doner car Is a 1994 Accord with a F22A1 sohc Vtec I have the whole car so all the parts are here. Has anyone here did a swap like or similar ? Any and all help would be great. The motor will bolt up just fine, the only difference is wiring up VTEC.
I'd reuse the wiring harness from the '91 Accord (plug up all the sensors that match) then wire up the VTEC soleniod (green wire) and the pressure switch (blue and black wires) directly to the ECU. Also, use the ECU from the donor VTEC Accord.
Now are both cars 5 speeds or autos? A automatic ECU won't work in a 5 speed and vice versa.
