i picked it up. shit who can resist a cheap game. runs at full speed with full graphics on my laptop.

seems ok. just another starcraft type game with micromanagement. like a cross between civilization and starcraft.

Yep, I loved Age of Empires. I never got around to AoE III though. I've played through the campaigne on III and just started of the expansion.
