how do i check to see if my alternator is failing. i just had my battery charged and today it was almost drained. wtf is going on
check the voltage
connect a test meter to the batery with the car off
it should read in the 12.# area
then turn the car on and test at the batery again
it should read in the 13.#-14.# area
or you could just bring it to an autozone (or other parts store) they can test both the batery and the alternator there
