A couple of months ago I slid around a corner in my integra and hit a curb pushing the front passenger wheel back which in turn pushed the LCA back which bent the rear beam. since the motor is mounted to the rear beam we removed it and replaced the beam only to find out the front one is bent and the front right section of the car is slightly humped afecting alignment of the wheel and fender. It called American frame and alignment and I told them everything. I asked to speak with the person that operates the frame machine and the woman I talked to said that it was her and that they could do the job. The next day they call and say "ummm there is no motor in the car and the steering is not hooked up". I replied "I know I told you guys that yesterday". to which he said (different person from yesterday) "uhhh how come" I said "because I had to replace the rear beam". He then said "whats the rear beam?" I was a little bit stunned at the question hoping this isn't the guy that was gonna work on my car I told him what it was and he said "well I can't get into the shop with out steering". I then told him you can put dollies under the wheels and move it into the shop he said "I can't do that and besides we can't pull a unibody frame". I said "wait a minute I just talked to a lady yesterday who said she operates the machine and she said you guys do pull unibody frames". He said "no we don't and I am the one that operates the machine". I was pretty shocked that these people have the title of frame and alignment. so I called another unibody shop and they said they can fix it and would arrange to have it towed 3/4 of a mile to their shop and they will give me a price tommorow. So my car was towed there today and I await their call tommorow. I hate being jerked around and dealing with people who don't know what they're talking about but act like they do, kind of like everytime I walk into NAPA
 
after your car is towed call back and ream that lady out

i would throw in something to the effect of i should have known you were full of shit when you told me a bitch operated a frame machine..

so I'm pissed with the second shop i took it too because it has been 2 weeks and the guy hasn't looked at it yet. granted I didn't have an apointment or anything but he told me a week ago that they got the other car off the frame machine and my car was going on (to get looked at) first thing in the morning and he would call me. he never called I left a message on his phone 2 days later and he never called I called today and one of his workers said it was going on the machine next to get fixed and i was like I need an estimate before you guys work on it and I need to know when that is going to happen he said he is pretty sure his boss looked at it and he is suppossed to call me it has been 2 and a half hours i don't think he is going to call. I drove past the shop sunday it looks well kept up there are quite a few cars in the lot I just don't know why I can't get decent service. If I have to tow it to a 3rd shop I am going to be really pissed :mad:
 
:werd: And its called crossmember. That's why they didn't know what you were talking about. I've cracked a many, and they're a bitch to fix.
 
The crossmember wasn't that hard to get out, getting all the suspension to line up has been a bitch. my LCA won't line up with tie rod. the front right section of the car is humped slightly affecting fender, and front crossmember alignment which also affects the tie rod because it bolts into the front crossmember.
 
so I think I have to tow it to yet another collision shop :mad: number 3. the guy keeps lying to me. according to him my car is on the frame rack, but he hasn't looked at it yet because he is "changing his clothes". I told him to give me a call as soon as he looks at it, he said he would probably give me a call tommorow. that guy has failed to call me 4 times in a row. I am making arrangements with a frame shop that was recomended by my friend who works at an acura dealership, what the hell is the matter with people?

i have never heard of american frame and alignment. you should go to collision specialists on on 56th and south tacoma way. they are right behind the muffler shop. they will hook you up. they have a very reputable shop there. they also are a full import business that brings over stuff from japan.
 
that place is called rainier collision right? that is the place I was talking about that my friend recomended. but anyways the guy finally called me and quoted me $530 including towing so I told him to go ahead and do it. I want to get this done my car has been sitting for 4 months
