Any downfalls with 15 x 8 Rims ??

I am starting to look into what size of slips i want to get, i figured wider would be better for more traction, ect. But will they rub? I am lowered a few inches.Also are tires going to be more expensive? or are there any drawbacks besides the initial cost of the rims?

do they even make 15x8 Slips?? i know of 15x7s..

According to Rotas website they do. But i havent seen too many people that carry it. I was talking to some rep at jbl motorsports and they said they can get them, but they will rub. So i will just scratch that idea.
