i saw somewhere that two different p28 where listed. one didnt have a knock sensor and one did????? i need to know? also does p28 have one or two o2 sensors?

If we're talking OBD1 there's a USDM P28 and Euro P28... The Euro P28 lacks PA sensor and injector test circuitry... Neither have a knock sensor board...
 
actually there are 2 versions of the p28, p28a and p28b.

p28a is from earlier obd1 models and p28b is from later. i don't know the differences but i've read p28a has even less restrictions than the p28b.
 
i've never heard of a and b specifications. got any links to that?

as far as i know, all p28s don't use a knock sensor, and utilize 1 o2 and come in manual or automatic varities
 
i don't know the differences, i know they are very very minor to the point of non-existent. When I was at a junkyard to purchase my p28 I saw p28a's and p28b's so I know they do exist.
 
Yea, please do tell...

I've chipped 100's of P28 ecu's and there are no differences other than auto and manual.

Even JDM P28's are virtually the same as USA models.
