My 1200 starts out as SBC-(five numbers). The Chassis code is SBC and get this- ALL pre '80 Civics were RHD chassis- master cylinder is on the right, clutch and throttle cables come through the firewall on the right... JDM titeness.

Just remember... the year of manufacture listed in the VIN may not always match the model year that your car was sold as.

lol... that's the least of my worries... I have five different VINs I can chooes from- two dashes, the firewall stamp, radiator support, and engine block. :p One of the dashes matches the title, though. :)

True that, ny buddy has a 91 EG.

Loco- I'm the same. No worries here. :)

John- Yup. Well, considering that 1992 USDM model year cars were sold in 1991, that would make sense.

I swear, my 93 accord must've been one of the last ones made.

It's production date is 6/93!

What was funny was when I got into an accident 2 years ago I had to have my steering knuckle replaced.. turned out that my suspension components are 94! (93 didn't fit!)

You think that's crazy... my '91 CRX that I had back in the day had a born on date of 12/91. Technically, it was a '92. :)

Interesting- maybe they ran out of 93 parts and started putting 94 subassemblies into the older body style chassis... most of the stuff before the current generation Hondas is pretty interchangeable anyway, at least going 12 years or so back.

I dont' think i have much to worry about, my car is either a 99 or a 2000. :)
