I have a 96 Accord with an H22 in it that is Automatic. I had the Transmission built years ago when I did the swap. The mechanic that installed the transmission rigged the kickdown cable so that it would work. It worked perfect. However, clutchpacks on tranny burnt up and I had to rebuild, upon install I was told that cable was stretched and ruined. I bought a new one from 93 Prelude. I have a Skunk2 intake manifold and throttle body. I think that those two mods in combination have changed the length to the kickdown arm on the tranny. I dont know if their is a known solution for this, or if it is possible to cut cable and weld barrel end back on? I enclosed a picture of what I did to extend the kickdown cable over as much as I could using aluminium spacers. the slack in the picture and about 1.5 inches more on the bottem end by the tranny arm is the play I am talking about. Ideas?
