I have a 90 4d civic dx that is auto with a d15 i plan to swap out the auto tranns to a manual 4sp trans and was wondering if my auto cv shafts will fit the manual tranns. the manual tranns is out of a 89 civic hatchback that also had the d15. i removed every thing that i need to do the swap but the cv's were busted so i trashed them. just wanting to know if i need to buy new cv's?

My personal guess from personal experience in changing my EK hatchback from auto to manual is yes.

yes the axles are the same, when i did my auto to manual in my ef it was in a hatch, but it should be the same.

The STD hatch has smaller (less spline count) knuckles just like the HF CRX's. The 4spd manual transmission comes from the STD hatch so make sure your axels will go into the 4 spd tranny because those tranny's might have a smaller spline count to match the knuckles.
