Do you not get what Blanco's saying to you? If the motor is just a stock 1.5 block with a Z6 head then you don't need a custom fuel map, you're not gonna see any benefits from it. Unless the motor has a decent amount of modifications then running chips or pre-setup tunes are pointless.

There's a JUN chip selling on eBay (think it's knock off) that supposedly changes vtec engagement to 5500 rpm and has a 10k rev limit.

Chips like that are garbage. All they do is F up your motor. What good is increasing your rev limit to 10k if your stock valve train can't handle anything above it's redline?

agreed, ive looked into them and all they do is send a false signal to tthe ecu so it starts puting more fuel into the engine, and yes, the engine simply isnt ment to rev to those limits, although the ecus which are over here in the UK are jdm ecus and they actually have a higher limiter, probubly because we have a much higher fuel grade over here, you cant buy anything less that 97 octane and 99 octane is widely used also.

but yeh thanks guys youve probubly saved me a few £££s

    cheers the now.
