b16 crx problem

i swapped a b16 into an 89 crx 'dx' & it had a bit of a flat spot from 2-4000, & it wasnt so bad. now the idle is getting rough & its almost a misfire type of problem.... at least its starting to act more like that.....also, instead of cutting out from 2-4, its cutting out from idle-4000. its not throwin any codes either, so im hoping its just a simple tuning issue. i need to find someone who really knows these motors well. if anyone knows how to diagnose it, or knows someone who would know, i would appreciate it.

have you tried replacing your cap, rotors, plugs, wires? what shape is the mentioned in?

was having the same problem and it was the ignightor inside the distributor..

as far as cap, rotor, wires, etc..... those are good. the igniter might very well be it. how much did you have to give for your igniter?
