Hey i just was wondering what anyones b16a's rev (i think its a y1 tranny), cause mine turns 5,000 and im not even doing 80 in 5th, im kinda wondering if this is just the gearing or maybe who ever had my motor in japan changed the final drive cause i rev higher than my buddy with a b18c1 with a shorter final drive,
 
theres nothing wrong with your tranny, i have a b16 with a j1 tranny which are geared almost the sameas a y1 and at 80 mph im taching 5200 so dont worry............
 
thats exactly how mine is... about 5,000rpm and close to 80 mph... if you do alot of highway driving, i woould highly reccomend an oil cooler.
 
Mine is the same way too. 80mph right at 5000rpm. It not the best tranny for gas saving thats for sure.
