I swapped a b16a into my 91 crx hf and there are two hoses that come out of either side of the speedo cable on the tranny. One hose looks like a heater hose and the other looks like it may be a vacuum hose. I have looked at the shop manual for the b16 but there is no reference for these hoses. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what these hoses are. I just plugged them off so i could start up the motor, but i want to know what the hoses are for. ANy help would be appreciated. :worthy:
 
Take that VSS out of the transmission, and put the one from the CRX tranny in the hole. It fits perfectly., and no more extra hoses!

Those were for a pump for a power steering system that changed pressures with speed. Ingenious, but not needed in our cars! :)
