I'm still a little new to my b16a and honda for that matter, i bought new NGK plugs and i was wondering what the spark gap would be on them?

Its a B16A SiR2, second gen i think. I have seen lots of different numbers some from .039 to .055. My ecu is chipped and im running some decent fuel, would that have any difference for gapping? What would be a good gap?

    Thanks,

    Justin

I think a haynes manual will tell you. You should have a haynes or something like it already. Haynes or chilton

regardless, they might be pre gapped already. when i got my denso iridium's they came pre-gapped. not necessarily gapped for my car, but to create the best spark.

I have a chilton guild for my integra, but the b17 isnt quite the same. It says the gap should be between .039 and .041. I was told a .044 for the b16. The plugs i have are gapped much smaller than .040.

Maybe ill just stick with .044?

First, this thread is a couple months old. Second, i obviously figured it out by now lol. Third, these were not gapped to specs, some are and some arnt, i set them to .44 either way and they work great.
