I am going to buy a b16a2 from a guy that i know , and hes got a hydro tranny on it cuz its in a crx (B16a2's dont come with cable trannys do they?) Anyways my 93 civic si hb has hydo tranny and its a d16z6 so i cant use that tranny. So what would be better finding a b series hydro tranny or getting one of those conversion kits to use the cable one? Any idea on how much a hydro b series tranny would cost? Also between both engines will i have the correct mounts? (remember hes got it in a crx and i dont know what mounts are on it)
O ya also i am gettin a nice and expensive clutch with it stage two sumthin forgot what he said but i drove it and its a dope clutch, can i switch the clutch thats in the cable tranny to a hydo tranny?
umm.. b16a2 from the 99-00 civic si come with hydro tranny's. 4th gen civic's and crx's use cable. are you sure you know what you are getting?
Crx's had cable tranny's,unless he's talking about a delsol crx(or that is a type-o and you meant to say cable). No B16A2's don't come with cable tranny's.The first engine's stamped B16A2 came in the EDM 92-95 VTI and they are hydraulic.Anyway you should be able to pick up a hydraulic tranny for a B series for between $300-$1400 depending on what you want.
Ya i ment to say its hooked up to a cable tranny now and i need to switch to a hydro. so is it better to just get a hydro than to convert to cable?
