Will a ls b18 lower timing cover work on a b16?
lower? i dont think they will as the deck heights are different.
Yup, it should be a straight fit. Had covers from a b18b and b16a sitting next to each other, and were pretty much identical. As far as I can tell the extra material for the taller deck blocks is in the upper covers
Ok, I wasnt sure. But I do know if the block/oil pump is from a (96+) and the timing cover is from a 90-95 you will have to trim the lower cover to fit.
1st gen b16a is the same as 1st gen b18a
2nd gen b16a is different than 1st gen b18a.
Ive never owned a b18b so I can say for sure on that one.
I have had issues with this. It depends on the oil pump. What B16, and what B18 cover?
00 b16a2 motor and 95 b18b1 lower timing cover.
Like I said above, you will have to trim the lower timing belt cover in order for it to fit.
