the existing motor is a b16a 1st gen and I want to go 1.8ls. what kind of wiring changes need to be done? will the b16a axles work with the b18 motor? Any input would be great. thanks
 
what car? You already have the b16 in the car already? A b18a will bolt right up to the b16 transmission, you will not have any axle issues, except you might need a b18 midshaft, as I am not sure if they are the same as the b16 mishafts. As for wiring changes, if you are running the stock pr4 ecu, you'll only need one o2 sensor, and you won't need the vtec solenoid wiring. I'm sure I might be missing some things, but those are the biggies. My suggestion. get a ls/vtec kit, some vtec pistons for your ls block, and just swap the bottom end into your car. No more wiring problems, since the wiring will be the same, you'll just need to tune for more displacement.
