B18A1 In CRX..........

I have a B18A1 in my 1988 CRX HF. On the back of the motor there is a green knock sensor which there is no plug coming out of the wiring harness for. Do i need that sensor to be plugged up??????

as far as i remember on the B18a swap in the crx. you do not need the knock sensor hook'd up!

but if you want. you could source a plug off a donor wiring harness(that has a knock sensor plug on it!). and find which pin on the ecu is the knock sensor(if the ecu your using has a knock sensor pin!). then just hook it up to it!!

It is not a knock sensor. I think it is like an oil pressure sending unit. You don't need it though, I didn't have it hooked up on my swap and it ran fine for 4 months, and my oil indicator still came on and everything when it was low on oil. Don't worry about it.

The ls does not come with a knock sensor. Usually only your vtec motors.
