b18a1 motor...someone help me

    i hav a b18a1 sitting in my garage and im curious to which set of numbers on it are my vin....ther are number directly under the b18 stamp on the block...are those my vin...i feel like a moron asking but sumone help me

    I too have a B18 in my garage...and did a bit of research trying to get VIN identification before I bought it. I found there is no VIN on the block. The number below the "B18A1" is some type of serial number and that's all.

    that's the block serial number. the VIN should be on the firewall, and on the passenger side dash next to the windshield on your car.

    thanks for the hint to search...too bad i did and turned up nothing so thanx starbellieangel u helped alot....actually pauls81sc ur the real help...mayb iduno how to search like the pros but wutever
