Ive got a 97 Civic EX automatic. I started looking into an auto to manual conversion and it seemed like the most sensible thing to do was to swap in a manual B18b. Ive already bought the swap and Ive done a lot of reasearch on the swap and Im prepared for it.
The question is will the swap fit into an automatic EK the same as a manual EK?
It seems to me that the problem would be the tranny mounts. Are they the same between the manual and auto?
Can I use the B or D series mounts?
I found one place that said for an EG you have to weld in the mount. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you.
