b20 vtec or ls vtec

OKay i have my b20 found a guy for all the head and ecu parts but the part that killing me is the eagle rods and je pistons is going to run deep in my pocket so i was thinking about getting rid of it buying a b18 going lsvtec with that getting ctr or itr pistons and itr rods with a b16 head and itr cams. Otherwise well for the b20 i would just barely beable to put the b16 vtec head and scrape togather just enough for the rods and pistons. So what do you guys think....

well, neither is cheap.
if you already have a b20, it will be cheaper than buying a ls+ oem pistons and using ls rods.

the best adive i can give you is, if you can't afford to do it right, wait until you can.
