i got a '97 del sol v tec, i bought it about 6 months ago, it was the first car ive bought, and i overlooked some things.
when i take it into vtec i got some blueish smoke that comes out, not too much though
i was told by many people that it is oil burning, and that i most likley have a bad oil ring.
is this true?
i was also told that it is not affecting the performance of the car and its not bad for the motor, for now.
they said i should replace is in 3 or 4 years
i got a quote to fix it, (i do not want to tear into the motor myself) and 2 different mechanics told me about 1 grand to fix it.
i looked online and an oil ring set is only like 50 bucks, would i be gettin ripped off for one thousand dollars!!!!!!???????/
