That's really surprising, honestly. I've driven well-maintained Festivas, and my 91 Tercel blew them away. And the Tercel sucked long donkey dork.
My Celica ONLY WON to a 1986 Prelude, Everything else has beaten it. My Supra was beaten by an Accord, right after I blew away a Vette under full steam to 120mph. And my MR2, which has done pace against an F355 was beaten by a Dodge Daytona once. These things happen.
my 4Runner lost to a GMC1500 with a double-long trailer full of lumber, and I lost to a City bus. So there are slower things out there

Also, my Supra lost to an uphill drag against a fully laden Contractor's Ford E150 Van. That was a surprise.
