If this is a repost im sorry.

I have a 05 Civic ex coupe, and ive been dying to swap my engine out. Price limit: $6k. That pretty much rules out the k20a. I want to know the best engine i can: 1.) Put a turbo in without any drawbacks and 2.) work on to hopefully get 300+hp.

pretty simple just need some help from some ppl who know (or think they know) what there talking about ^_^

Why would that rule out a K20A? If you look around you can get the whole thing done for right at, if not under $6,000 if you're doing the work.

I'm not the best mechanic and would trust it in the hands in someone who has a lot of swaps under there belt. Don't wanna spend a lot of dough and Mess something up. That's why I have to rule out the k20a.

There's nothing besides the k-series that's worth swapping in to that chassis. Why not just turbo the stocker?
