I have a toaster in Europe that uses four quartz heating elements. It rocks.


Long thin toasters like that are very european, you rarely see the double-wide (pun intended) style of toaster we have here in the US and A.

Looks like a great thing for those who have limited counter space. I don't have as much as I'd like, and I have a fat daddy stainless side by side "bagel" toaster. I'm too lazy to put it away after every use, so it takes up its little plot of counter real estate. A thinner one would be nice.
