Blue smoke

[D street Civic]

When i step on the throttle and my (D16Z6) hits vtec there is a puff of blue smoke out the exhaust!! Now all the cylinders have perfect compression readings but what i cant tell is weather my oil rings are bad or if my valve seals are bad???? How can i tell other than pulling the head off, pulling the pistons out and checking the clearances on the oil rings?????????

i would guess valve seals. the valve seals are a logical place to start looking for this sort of problem.
