AC belt is squeeking
front rotors warped
fluids need changing
looks like the differentials were NEVER fucking taken care of

on the bright side...
everything else in the engine bay looked fine
turbo had no immanent problems
no signs of crankwalk..YET
pulls hard
 
What year is it???

If its a 2nd gen eclipse/talon, I've heard of people modifying the 1st gen crank sensor to the 2nd gen blocks and almost eliminate the crank walk....... I'm more of a honda guy though, just something a DSM guy showed me....

its just been taken care of badly...still sucks ass
its a 95 eclipse GSX
1st gen crank sensor into 2gen? hmm...im not sure but i'll look around about it.
oh yeah i forgot to mention, an exhaust pipe's leaking (behind the cat)..
and they say honda's are moneypits
 
thats waht u get for not buying a honda

next to toyotas, hondas are the most reliable cars you can buy. check any automotive review out there.

I have heard that the 92 eclipse gs (turbo) was the best year to buy for eclipse. Thats pretty much all I know about eclipse. :D
 
meh, i didnt mean based on reliability
most of the problems are due to shitty previous owners <_<
 
that is what I thought when I first bought my Talon Tsi,,,I drove it from Miami(please no one buy any cars from miami - everything is literally fucked their) and I drove 40 minutes home and when I got off the highway the Talon was smoking and had no oil in it, I would lose 1 quart of oil a day, I couldn't find the lead, my mechanic couldn't either, it need a new longblock, I said fuck that and sold it.

DSM owned JDMilan

JDMilan owned DSM for about 1 month,,,couldn't take the heap of shit anymore.

That's all mostly routine maintenance stuff. And the tranny will probably be a problem area regardless. Cheer up and least yours isn't leaking oil.
 
cheaper to swap in a new 4G63...blocks are cheap as hell
yeah, not leaking oil but HEAVY maintenence
lets just say they're suggesting i flush out my differentials as well...oh well im selling it sunday i think
making ~1500 dollars off buying a car = bye bye GSX
 
I concur, GSX's are great cars, but they're nightmares when it comes to working with their electrical systems. It's just not worth it. Honda's a way simpler and more straight forward.
