so anyways i decided to go ahead and buy a winter car since i dont wanna drive my del sol in the winter..anyways i bought it with it smoking like a mofo kid thought it was the head gasket turned out he had wayy to much oil in the car..so fixed that problem then noticed the driver side corner blinker lights up for both left and right signal turns where would be a good place to start checking for this problem. and also the transmission which is an auto, it slams into 2nd gear then for 3 you have to get up to around 35mph and take your foot off the gas for it to switch, what could be causing this? is the tranny ready to shit the bed?

change the tranny fluid and filter. easiest/cheapest way to possibly remedy the problem. auto trans require friction to work...

maybe shift solenoid is going bad???? but i would say do the fluid first and if it keeps happening check them.
