i have a 89 civic hatchback Si, i was wondering if i could swap a USDM LS or GSR engine into my hatch. the reason im not sure is because of my cable tranny....and the newer GSR engines have hydro. . .will that be a problem? will i have to get a hydro pump? or what? tell me wsup thanks. . .

You will need to get a cable tranny,90-93 LS or 92-93 GSR. Also you will have to do some wiring to use the OBD I or II motor in your OBD 0 car. Along with aftermarket mounts and shiftlinkage.
You can consider using a 90-93 LS B18A1 or a 89-91 B16A, both are good jumps and the correct OBD to fit your current systems. But they will also need the mounts and linkage.

you can also use cable jdm B16 trannys, and you can convert newer B18c's to obd0, so that all you will have to do is wire VTEC. You will need to use obd0-b series injectors, and distributor.
