My son bought 89 civic d2db2 fuel injected motor and found a zc carburated motor. He was told to convert it over to the fuel injected all he had to do was change the intake from his old motor and put it on the new motor. My question is what do you do with the fuel pump that is on the head of the new motor. The old head which is no good has is blocked where the fuel pump is on the new one.

My parts guy is busy atm, but I think you might be able to find a block off plug for it. I know Honda has them for other things on the block (sensor holes, etc). If I can get a a hold of him I'll post back. What is the code on one of those? D15xxx??

we have swapped a few dual carb ZCs into the 88-91 ED cars - we just took a piece of 1/8" thick aluminum, cut it to the diamond shape to cover the hole, drilled 2 holes in it to match the head, put silicone on it and bolted it down

Thanks, wasn't for sure if I could just close it up. I'll try to find something.
This is my first engine in over 20 years. Seems alot harder now. My nerves are about shot not sure my son will want to do another me, we'll see if this starts up.;)
