catalytic converter

i heard that if u had an o2 sensor behind ur catalytic converter it would mess up ur valves over a period of time if u took it off, but i dont have a cat on my car, and was wondering if it would mess it up over time, my car didnt have a cat, all it had was a resonator, the vx hatch...so i'm j/w if i need to get a new exhaust system

forget alll that u heard. on any car the 2nd o2 sensor behind the cat all it does is tells the computer wether or not ur cat it lit. if it is unplugged or broken it wont affect the running of you car at all. it will throw a Check engine. cuz the comp wants to know if the cat is lit. that is all it does.
