    Yeah, if I'm correct, alot of people know the JDM civic chassis codes other than the USDM and Canadian codes that we see alot. Instead of remember year base's of three different type of civic bodies, saying Ef, Eg, and Ek was alot easier for people to understand which year your talking about. Savvy?

    Your name might be wrong or right- I'm pretty sure that the only true EF codes that made it to the US were the sedans. My wife's 88 LX is an EF8. To be sure, go look at the VIN plate at the base of your windshield- the chassis code will be right there. For the 4th generation Civics, it'll be ED, EE or EF followed by a number. Verify it yourself and you'll always know.

    The common chassis codes that most people use to refer to Honda cars (EF, EG, EK, etc.) are actually the Japanese codes. Sometimes they match up with the USDM codes, but not always...

    Also changed the title of the thread. You might want to consider using a title that actually describes what you want to talk about- nobody cares to click on a "..." just to find out what you might have to say.
