check engine light

can anyone tell me how to pull the error code from my car. i have a check engine light on and it's smog day this friday. It's a 94 civic si hatch.

pull out the carpet on the passenger side(under the glove compartment) and count how many times the light blinks, then post it here.

pull out your gauge cluster and remove the bulb.

one long blink is 10
one short blink is 1

so, for instance, long long, short short short, would be 23. ya follow?

count them, make sure there is only one code, it will cycly through all the codes, then start back over again and repeat itslef.
