I was just wondering if he had to climb back down, or if he could base jump.
I'm guessing the guide wires might be a little worry some for a base jump.

No amount of money in the world would make me do that. That shit is retarded. If they told me to climb up there and fix a light I would burn it to the ground.

a local guy base jumped off one here about a year ago. so crazy. there's a ton of support cables, and if you hit one, you're getting sliced in half.

wait, so all that is OCEA approved!? we can't have little cubby boxes at work because they have points on them, and I work in a tire shop!

I would at the least have a parachute just in case.

I've done that. No safety line either.

Stupid Balun went out on our 225ft tower, and I drew the short straw.

225ft and 1700ft are two WAY different ballgames.
lol
thats like saying: "im a badass baseball player, the yankees have nothing on me"
then we find out you only play tee ball.

and yes, i know that 225ft is still really high. but 1700ft is REALLY REALLY fucking high.

fall from 225 or 1700, either way you're dead. so, technically they are the same. :)
