well i just got done building my SOHC Vtec, and i put everything on right, well the guy who helped me build it said that i shoudlnt be able to move the cable clutch on the tranny. I could move it about lets say 2" and then it stopped and i coudlnt move it anymore, is this normal, or is it not set up right? im just paraniod

the motor isnt in the car yet, i wanna know wether to fix it or not. I dont want to put it in, realize its wrong, then take it all back out!
 
bump , anyone, i need to know by tonight

should i be able to push in the clutch where the cable hooks to, with my hand, or should it be hard to move
 
you shouldnt be able to move it very easily, it takes quite a bit of pressure to move it, hook something up to the lever and try to pull up as hard as you can, you will feel it engage and disengage, but it takes ALOT of pressure, not something you can move with just your hand
