Alright here's my problem

I went and bought AntiVirus 2004 and put it in the cd drive, okay nothing happend nothing poped up like another ordinary cd would, So I go under My Computer and Neither of my Cd Drives are showing up next to the C:\ drive, And I used both of my Drives not so long ago (maybe a week)
and so I went under the add hardware to see if the PC would recognize them, well they show up but with a (!) beside them , and help says might be unplugged but I don't think that would be possible due to I used them a week ago and I havent even moved my Computer..

Any Ideas?

open up the case and unplug the IDE cable. Turn on the PC, load into windows and shutdown. Then plug the cable back in and restart the PC.
Also check the power supply cable running to your CD-Roms
See if that helps.

sounds like a bad driver

it wouldn't have a (!) next to it if it wasn't plugged in.
it wouldn't know it was there in the first place.
