Confused bout ECU please help

i have a 94 honda civic dx. that had a stock engine it got stolen they blew the engine. so i bought a 92-95 d15b vtech engine. my dad knows bout engines and putting them in and all that my question is about the ECU . do i need to get a whole new ecu for that engine or do i just need to get a new chip for the ecu and do you know of a good site or place to order that from ?? sorry first time doing this stuff. PLEASE HELP.

A p28 ecu would work pretty well for that setup. Make sure you get an obd1 ecu. If you want to avoid adding wires for vtec and everything, use the harness that came with the new engine. Because your year civic is wired for vtec to the engine bay from the ecu. But if you dont have the vtec harness you will need to hook up the extra wires.
