I have a Canadian spec Si' which is a stock d16y8, hx to you guys?
I'm confused about the wiring. Since it's a 96' its obd2a, the B16A will be obd2b, since the car already has a vtec wiring harness, can I just swap over the few sensors and call it a day? Just swap the ecu's out and thats it?
As far as what I need I know, axles, mounts, linkages, bla bla.
The wiring part confuses me because I'm only finding info how to go d16y7 to b16a, I'd like to retain my stock harness to make my swap easier and faster...
I've already done a B16A swap into a EF so I'm honda literate.

The Canadian Si is the equivalent to the USDM Civic EX.

Canadian SiR = USDM Si

I think all you gotta do is get the b16a ECU and swap it over, but I'm not sure if the y8 has a knock sensor or not. But yeah since the y8 is vtec you won't have to wire for it.

The d16y8 does have a knock sensor.
I swapped the b16a into a 89'si. That was a straight forward swap.
I figured I wouldn't have to swap harness's because most of the sensors are the same, the only difference might be the injectors, but since they're both OBD2, should work fine. The vtec is there, knock sensor is there, b16 and d16 alternator's are interchangable, I think I answered my own questions lol.
Thanks for the reply.
