Hey all!!
i have an 86civic hatchback
with a b20vtec swap!!
i am new to this site and i really do appolojize if this is an old thread and i am repeating it i wud really appreciate if u ppl help me out :)

i wanna boost my CR-VTEC i got a b20b block and a b18c head
type-r cams valve reatiners complete JDM b18c head
am planing to do this on stock block i know CR blocks have week sleeves and b20 isnt a good option for boost i just want it to be on the safe side and wanna have some fun with it
no race!!
so here are the specs

OBD1 with crome chip ecu
holset H1C turbo with costum exhaust manifold
tial 38mm wastgate
evo8 FMIC
FPR
6puck act clutch
manual boostcontroler
HKS SSQV BOV
450cc DSM
H22 fuel rail
H22 throttle body
2.5inch exhaust pipe
HKS boostgauge
with a good tune
mayb i use my VAFC2 as well
just wanted to know how much psi can it take am thinking of 8

you can run 11 psi before you need a 3-bar map sensor... the 450s should be enought to take you there. it all depends on the tune. psi should never be a goal. power breaks parts, not psi numbers. stay under 275whp and you'll be ok.
 
did you not read his post? he said stay under 275whp and you should be fine. provided that the engine hasnt been beat to hell.

You may be able to get that power without having to crank up the boost level.
If anything i would worry about reinforcing the block just a tag. ARP rod bolts and i assume you already beefed up the oil and water pumps right?
